Is It Required For Me To Go To Church?

Many ask themselves, “Is it required for me to go to church?” The answer is clearly yes. But why? Here are some reasons to go to church.

Some people don’t feel it necessary to go to Church and participate in the mass. They give themselves answers such as, God knows my heart, or God doesn’t reside in a building. But these are weak answers as best. It’s in our best interest to go to Church on a regular basis. Let’s look at both these answers.

Why Go To Church

[Jesus said, “] For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

MT 18:20

Jesus tells us to gather with one another. He wants us to be together for support. To help each other in our faith walks. Humans are social creatures and we cannot do everything on our own. We must go to Church to be around other believers.

When we are around other believers, Jesus joins us. Jesus wants us to be together and he wants to join us. How exciting it is to know that the creator of the universe wants us to go to Church so that He can be with us.

Going To Church Is A No Brainer

We should not stay away from our assembly, as is the custom of some, but encourage one another, and this all the more as you see the day drawing near.

HEB 10:25

The Bible tells us to gather and not dismiss it. We don’t make excuses to be around fellow believers. Those believers strengthen us and help us during our faith walk. Only by going to Church will be able to get the full benefits of the faith.

Going to Church is one of the greatest pleasures in life. We get to be in the same room as Jesus. Jesus promises to be in our midst when two or more gather. We get to participate in the best-known prayer to man, the holy mass.
